- Savannah Police have made two arrests in a daytime shooting that injured a local woman. The shooting took place at a residence on Chester Street, reportedly due to a verbal dispute. The two suspects were apprehended without incident and transported to the Chatham County Detention Center. (WJCL News)
- Throughout September and October, the Savannah Police Department will be collecting donations for the "Give Change That Counts" program. The campaign is led by the Chatham Savannah Authority for the Homeless. People can donate both goods and money to support homeless Savannah residents. (WTOC)
