Here are the top three stories today in Savannah:
- The Savannah Police Department is investigating a road rage shooting that occurred at Bull Street and Broughton Street. The incident occurred on Sunday morning around 6:30 a.m. and resulted in the death of a 32-year-old male. A 30-year-old woman was also injured in the shooting; she is in stable condition at a local hospital. (WTOC)
- The best junior golfers in the world gathered for the Sam Burns Classic in Savannah this last weekend. The event hosted 72 junior golfers at the Deer Creek Golf Course. 48 boys and 24 girls participated in the event that concluded on Sunday. (WJCL News Savannah)
- A Savannah area plane crash led to an extensive search on the coast of Georgia on Friday. A Cirrus SR22 aircraft went down about 40 miles southeast of Savannah, according to the Federal Aviation Administration. Only the pilot was on board the aircraft and the Coast Guard has a boat crew and a helicopter searching. (WLTX)
