- A Ukrainian woman who calls Savannah home is worried for her loved ones in Ukraine. Oksana Posa, who grew up in a heavily influenced Soviet Union-controlled Ukraine but left the country right before the Soviet Union broke apart, is a part of the Ukrainian National Women's League of America and says they are doing anything they can here to help those back home. Since Russian forces have invaded, she says she talks to family and friends every other day and they tell her they are horrified about what could happen next. (WJCL News Savannah)
- A fake firefighter drill turned out to be an elaborate plan for a marriage proposal. On Wednesday, Tyler Carlson was blindfolded and sent into a burning building to find a downed firefighter in what she believed was a training session. However, when she came to the end of the hose line, she removed her blindfold to find her boyfriend, Savannah Fire Capt. Bill Barrett, on one knee with a ring in hand. (WJCL News Savannah)
- A Savannah Arts Academy English teacher has stocked his little library with titles that have been banned or challenged nationally. Rich Clifton has had the little library for several years, however, after being disturbed by the growing call to ban books in public school libraries nationwide and in Chatham County, he created a GoFundMe page to stock his free library with the banned titles. Clifton surpassed his $500 goal just five hours after launching the page and now offers the books to the public to take and share. (Yahoo News)
