  1. A former Savannah Police Department officer was arrested for stealing watches in Clay County on New Year’s Day. According to the Clay County Sheriff’s Department, Ernest Ferguson shoplifted from Watches Plus in the Orange Park Mall and was charged with grand theft. Ferguson had been terminated in October 2022 from the department. (ABC)
  2. Savannah is now officially part of the "Been There Across the Globe Collection" series of mugs from Starbucks. Travelers flying out of Savannah can pick up the mug, which features local landmarks such as River Street, one of Savannah’s city squares, and more. Mugs can be picked up at Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport Starbucks for $13.86, which includes taxes. (WSAV)
  3. The beloved Bulldogs' mascot will not be traveling to the national championship on Monday night. Uga X, The University of Georgia Bulldogs' mascot, will watch the game from home, as the cross-country flight would be too difficult on the nine-year-old bulldog, according to the Seiler family. The Bulldogs will face TCU on Monday at 7:30 p.m. at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. (WRDW)
