- This weekend, and for the rest of April, Telfair Museums will allow locals to visit the storied gallery for free. The offer is part of an effort to prompt a new exhibit on artist William O. Golding. (WTOC)
- A heroic kayak instructor rescued three swimmers in the waters off of Tybee Island earlier this week. Though he had to abandon a course he was teaching, Savannah Canoe and Kayak said the event was still a good learning experience. (WJCL News Savannah)
- On Thursday, the Georgia Ports Authority held a breakfast at the longshoreman hall in Savannah to honor the hundreds of longshorewomen working in the region. "This industry is great for young women," said former dock-worker and current alderwoman Bernetta Bryant-Lanier. (WTOC)
