- The deadly helicopter crash at Wright Army Airfield is now under criminal investigation. A source close to the investigation reports there is evidence that the crash may have been intentional. Capt. James T. Bellew, 26 years old, was found dead near the helicopter crash site on Mar. 30. (Savannah Patch)
- Students at Alfred Ely Beach High School will be the first students in Georgia to be introduced to cutting-edge CRISPR & gene-editing technology. The students will participate in a Meet a Scientist program on Apr. 21 with alumna Neferteri Strickland. The CRISPR technology allows scientists to effectively rewrite DNA structures. - The Salvation Army of Savannah has announced its 2022 Summer Camp Program: The Greatest Summer Camp Adventure. The camp will be from May 31 to Jul. 29 at the Community Center on Bee Rd. Local children will be able to participate in engaging activities, educational classes, and skill-building programs. (Savannah CEO)
