- Police and the family of 36-year-old Kareem Smalls are seeking information in an unsolved Savannah homicide. The homicide took place nearly 10 months ago in the 600 block of Draper Street. The Savannah Police Department, along with the victim's family, say no tip is too small in helping solve this case. (WSAV-TV)
- With COVID-19 numbers trending down, the city of Savannah has eased some permit restrictions nearly a month after the city pulled permits for events through the end of Sept. Beginning Oct. 1, outdoor events with 500 people or fewer can take place with an approved COVID-19 protocol plan. The city's medical advisory team meets every 30 days and will make plans regarding Nov. and Dec. at the next meeting in mid-Oct. (Savannah Morning News)
