Hey, people of Savannah! It's me again, Kayla Harrison, your host of the Savannah Daily.

Here are the top three stories today in Savannah:

  1. A small dog found wandering around Effingham County, barely able to move due to severe neglect, is now getting a second lease on life thanks to a Savannah-area nonprofit. Georgia Rescue, Rehabilitation & Relocation found eight-pound Jake and quickly got to work on grooming and rehabilitating him before connecting him with a foster family. (WTOC)
  2. For at least the past three years, the Windsor Forest neighborhood of Savannah has been home to more than a dozen peacocks. Now, residents are calling to have them removed. The colorful birds have been causing disturbances at night, making "eerie" sounding calls, roosting on top of residents' homes, and eating and sitting on flowers. (WJCL News Savannah)
  3. As part of the Georgia History Festival, the Savannah African Art Museum (SAAM) will be participating in "Super Museum Sunday" on Feb. 6. From 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., the museum will offer free self-guided tours with docents stationed throughout to answer patrons' questions. SAAM will be joining over 100 points of interest throughout Georgia offering free visits to the public. (savannahceo.com)
