Here are the top three stories today in Savannah:
- Authorities are suspecting the cause of death for a man pulled from the Savannah River last Thursday was suicide. The body was located after the man's future father-in-law found his daughter's vehicle idling near the bridge. The Richmond County Coroner is investigating the death. (WRDW)
- Savannah Mayor Van Johnson has released a statement regarding the draft opinion leaked by the Supreme Court on Monday night. According to the mayor, the possible overturn would be disastrous for women. The mayor reportedly leans more toward pro-life but views that overturning Roe V. Wade would be a huge step backward for this country. (WSAV-TV)
- The Savannah Police Department is searching for a suspect in the overnight shooting of two individuals. The department responded to the 2200 block of E 37th Street to discover two men with gunshot wounds. One victim was taken to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
