Here are the top three stories in Savannah today:
- The annual Red Shoes Run returned to Freedom Park on Saturday. The run was hosted by the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Coastal Empire to raise funds for the organization. Over 200 runners participated in the event that was celebrating the organization's 35th year of operation in the Savannah region. (WTOC)
- A Savannah-based car group collected donations on Saturday for victims of last week's deadly tornado in Bryan County. Slow Movement used a Facebook page to get the word out about the event called Cars for the Community. The group raised $2,000 and $500 in material donations for those in need. (WJCL News Savannah)
- A Sunday morning fire has left two Savannah residents without a home. The blaze occurred in the 1000 block of Carver Street. Thankfully, no one was injured during the fire, according to officials. The Savanah Fire Department is conducting a full investigation into the cause of the fire. (WJCL News Savannah)
