Here are the top three stories today in Savannah:
- $10,000 has been added to the reward for information in the fatal shooting of 15-year-old Desaray Gilliard. The additional funds are being provided by O.C. Welch, a local car dealership owner. He hopes that the additional reward money will entice the community to come forward with information. Anonymous tips can be given through the CrimeStoppers Tip Line or by contacting the Savannah Police Department directly. (fox28media.com)
- Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC) is welcoming 34 interns for the summer. The interns will be given meaningful projects to gain workplace experience from SRMC managers. The projects will correspond with the students' fields of study such as communications, computer science, and biology. The primary focus of the internship program will be education.
