- The City of Savannah is set to make considerable changes to address affordable housing and homelessness over the next year. Savannah's proposed budget was released on Nov. 16 and includes $7 million for the Savannah Affordable Housing Fund (SAHF) and $12 million for initiatives geared toward affordable rentals and home-buying assistance for lower-income, elderly and disabled residents. - After working in the food and service industry for over 20 years, Reyshan Parker, a Savannah local, is taking a new look at the culinary industry. - A Savannah man has received a 10-year prison sentence for illegal gun possession after his aunt found his pistol in her backyard. After 15 minutes, a jury found 30-year-old Matthew Kearse guilty of possession of a firearm and ammunition by a convicted felon after a trial in August. (WSAV-TV)
