- A Savannah pharmacist helped crack a multi-state drug conspiracy, a U.S. attorney said. Raheem Hardy used at least six physicians to create forged prescriptions and 4,000 pills were distributed unlawfully. In 2020, the pharmacist in Savannah contacted police about the authenticity of an oxycodone prescription, which led to the discovery that the prescription was fake. (WSAV-TV)
- The city of Savannah rolled out a fleet of electric vehicles that will be used by city employees. This is their first tangible step toward the goal of switching to 100% clean electricity by 2035. Officials claim these vehicles will save taxpayers money and the city a few million dollars. (WSAV-TV)
- A new Savannah homeless day center helped reunite a missing man with his family 100 miles away. The man, Guy Kitchens, had been missing from his home in Dublin, GA for almost five months, and the center had found out his family was looking for him through Facebook. Minister Brooks tracked down his family and they came to Savannah to reunite with Kitchens. (WTOC)
