SAVANNAH, GA (September 25, 2021) – Savannah Police Violent Crimes detectives are investigating a homicide on Crescent Drive yesterday.
Around 11:30 a.m., September 24, officers responded to the 200 block of Crescent Drive on reports of shots fired. Upon arrival, they located Alphonso Dickerson, 17, with life-threatening injuries, which he succumbed to.

Detectives quickly began collecting information on this case and were provided a suspect description. The suspect was described as a black male wearing a black skull cap, black hoodie and a black or grey backpack that was seen running from the area going westbound towards Pennsylvania Avenue.
