  1. The Savannah Police Department reports that the man shot on Brewer Street Tuesday afternoon has died from his injuries. The incident occurred in the 600 block of Brewer Street where Alphonso Oliver Jr. was shot. The department is asking anyone with information related to the shooting to contact the department or CrimeStoppers. (WJCL News Savannah)
  2. Mayor Johnson spoke about the impact that shootings have on Savannah tourism. According to the mayor, tourists understand that violence is not Savannah's narrative and that the city is a wonderful and safe place. The Mayor's remarks were in reference to the recent shooting of a London tourist at the Time Saver Convenience store. (fox28media.com)
  3. Georgia's Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger visited Savannah on Tuesday to speak to the Rotary Club. The Secretary of State spoke about a number of topics but focused heavily on voting integrity. The state's primary election is on May 24, with early voting continuing through May 20.
