  1. Christmas came early for 10 kids in Chatham County, thanks to the 2021 Shop with a Cop event. Officers with the Chatham County Police Department took the participating children on a shopping spree at Walmart, with each child receiving $125 to spend as they pleased. Officers say they hope this event helped to give kids and their parents "a different view of law enforcement and what they're all about." (WJCL News Savannah)
  2. Healthy Savannah has partnered with the YMCA to make healthy food options more convenient for local shoppers. On Saturday, the two organizations launched their program at Jones' Red and White in Habersham Village and placed fresh produce items next to the checkout. The program, which organizers hope to expand to all of Savannah's grocery stores, was developed to address food apartheid, a lack of healthy food options available in certain communities. (FOX 28)
  3. Georgia State Patrol is investigating the cause of a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred on Saturday afternoon. According to GSP, Frank Ouzts was traveling west on Highway 80 near mile marker 25 when he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed into a road sign. EMS transported him to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. (WTOC)
  4. It's shaping up to be a sunny and warm winter week in Savannah, with temperatures reaching the 60s and 70s over the next several days. (Savannah Patch)
