🌱 Gun Smuggler Pleads Guilty + Mayor Confirms COVID Results

Here are the top three stories in Savannah today:
- An Atlanta man has pled guilty to smuggling guns through the Port of Savannah. Nihad Al Jaberi, 42, was convicted after a three-day trial in federal court. He faces up to 10 years in prison and substantial financial penalties, according to prosecutors. (WJCL News Savannah)
- On Tuesday, Savannah Mayor Van Johnson revealed he tested positive for COVID-19 at the end of January. He noted that he didn't experience any symptoms. Johnson said he followed the latest quarantine guidelines and encouraged Savannah to take COVID precautions and consider vaccination. (WSAV-TV)
- Savannah's Plant Riverside District has announced its plans for a five-day St. Patrick's celebration. The second annual Shamrocks and Shenanigans celebration will feature live music and activities and will run from Wednesday, Mar. 16 to Sunday, Mar. 20 at 400 W. River Street. (WJCL News Savannah)
