🌱 Two Savannah Shootings + Empty Stocking Fund Reaches $68K+

Here are the top three stories today in Savannah:
- Savannah Police investigated two overnight shootings. Both shooting victims sustained non-life-threatening gunshot wounds and were transported to the hospital for treatment. The incidents are still under investigation. (WTOC)
- Savannah area readers donated $68,758 to the Empty Stocking Fund. The money helped children and families in need, and the donations were raised for a fund held by the Savannah Community Foundation. (Savannah Now)
- Savannah-based artist Betsy Cain has a solo exhibition titled 'the nature of not knowing' opening on Jan. 7 until Mar. 19. The elements of Cain's style and exhibition are grounded in nature and experience. She explores new forms and ideas, and her calligraphic line work shows movement and fluidity across mediums. - Live Oak Public Libraries provided a 2021 Library Year In Review that revealed they were open for 31,598 hours, there were 524,342 wireless sessions and 96,782 computer sessions. Libraries make connections, and there are stories behind all of these statistics. (Instagram)
