  1. A woman was struck by a vehicle in downtown Savannah, leading to road closures. She was hit early Friday morning and hospitalized for serious injuries. The east and westbound lanes of Bay Street were closed at Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard due to the incident. Authorities stated the woman was struck at 4:30 a.m. (WJCL News)
  2. Savannah fire crews rescued four people and a pet from an apartment fire caused by burning incense. Firefighters made their way to the second floor, where residents were trapped because of the fire on the first floor. Officials say no one was physically injured. (WSAV)
  3. Vacant retail spaces are beginning to be filled in Savannah after COVID-19 took a toll on many businesses downtown. (WJCL News)
