  1. This year's Zunzifest! will be donating 26 percent of sales to Savannah's Brightside Child and Family Advocacy. The event will be on Tuesday, Aug. 9. Zunzi's is a South African-inspired fast casual establishment located at 236 Drayton Street. Members of the establishment's text community are invited to the restaurant for a free regular Conquistador or Rising sun sandwich during the event. (Eatitandlikeit.com)
  2. The City of Savannah will be collecting community input during its national search for a new Savannah Police Department chief. The city will reportedly host focus group discussions this month. The discussions will feature local leaders, law enforcement officials, community partners, City Council, and more. There will also be a survey released soon for the community to provide input.   3. Savannah Children's Museum will be hosting "Healthy Me!" on Aug. 27. The event is meant to showcase the community's health and wellness programs for the city's youth. The event will be from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the museum on Louisville Road. The event is included in the cost of admission to the museum. (South Magazine)
