Cobb County police arrested two suspects in connection with an armed robbery Thursday, which took place at the Motel 6 on Circle 75 Parkway.
COBB COUNTY, GA — Cobb County police arrested two suspects in connection with an armed robbery that took place at a Cumberland-area Motel 6 Thursday morning.
Cobb police responded to an armed robbery call to room 408 at Motel 6, located at the intersection of Windy Hill Road and Circle 75 Parkway, around 6 a.m. Thursday, Cobb police spokesperson Sgt. Wayne Delk told Patch.
The female victim — who is a sex worker — was staying in the room and told officers she had just finished a date with a man when she was robbed at gunpoint by a different man at the entrance to her room, according to a news release from Cobb County police. The second man stole cash and other personal items before leaving.

Officers arrested one suspect — the man who was on the initial date with the female victim — at the scene. The other suspect was found on foot in the area. No shots were fired and the victim was not injured in the robbery, the release said.
Delk told Patch it appeared the two men set her up.
