Dolly and Queen Latifah Help Make it a Marquee Monday

Dolly Parton and Queen Latifah were at Smyrna’s Monday working on their film “Joyful Noise.”

Residents spent the afternoon bracing for the severe storms that were most powerful blowing just to the north of the Smyrna-Vinings area.

Meanwhile, local children, teachers and administrators got back into the groove of things and returned to school following last week’s winter break.

It certainly was a banner Monday around these parts. Or maybe it was a marquee Monday?
