Are You At the Top Of Your Game?

 Last week I attended a seminar in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. While I was on my morning run, I had the opportunity to run up the famous 72 stone steps at the entrance to the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Why are these steps so famous?  They are the steps known as the "Rocky Steps", made infamous when a young Sylvester Stallone ran up them while training to become the greatest boxer in the world!  At the top of the stairs, I began thinking about the symbolism of that famous scene, when Rocky climbs up those stairs and does his little victory dance at the top. The feeling emitted is that Rocky is on top of his game, and literally invincible. This made me wonder; how do you feel when you start your day? Do you feel like you are exactly where you want to be? How do you feel about your health? Your physical capabilities? What stairs do you need to conquer in order to take control of your life and feel invincible? I would like to challenge you to simply write down one thing today, one goal that would bring you closer to the top of YOUR stairs. Whether it be the half marathon you always wanted to run or maybe a 5K? Perhaps you would like to lose 5 lbs or just dedicate an extra 30 minutes each day to quality time with your loved ones. Whatever your goal is, it is up to you to go and get it. I know you can do it. The human spirit and will power are amazing and have no boundaries but the ones we set up in our own minds! Go get it! You got this!
