Black Cobb Pages Holds Financial Seminar Tonight in Smyrna
Newly launched African-American online business directory company is hosting its first financial services seminar for members and non-members alike at the Smyrna Community Center.
The Black Cobb Pages business directory is a new venture started in June 2011 by owner Gil Robertson as a means of connecting African-American business owners so they can share in the active promotion of local Cobb County businesses.
“What I am doing here is offering a way for small to medium size businesses to be more competitive in today’s economic climate and gain more visibility in the community by having a centralized web presence where customers can readily find them,” Robertson said.
Robertson is quick to add, however, that the directory is not limited to African-American business owners only.
“Any Cobb business that wants to become a member of the directory is more than welcome to do so,” said Robertson. “Our main focus is to offer low-cost advertising and provide informational seminars designed specifically for independent business owners.”
With that focus in mind, tonight’s seminar with CNN Financial Expert Clyde Anderson is geared towards helping BCP members learn about current financial opportunities that exist as well as how to better manage their business finances.
Robertson further commented that he is looking at an 18-month initial operating period for BCP to be completely up and running with all the planned services the organization will be providing in place.
“We are planning an aggressive campaign utilizing social networking, email alerts and a regular schedule of informative seminars to help our members become more successful. We want owners that have built a legacy for their children to be able to grow strong and maintain prosperity for their future generations,” said Robertson.
