BOYD COLLAR NOLEN & TUGGLE PARTNER KATIE CONNELL REAPPOINTED TO GEORGIA COMMISSION ON CHILD SUPPORT

Boyd Collar Nolan & Tuggle is pleased to announce that partner Katie Connell has been reappointed to the prestigious Georgia Commission on Child Support for a four-year term. The commission is composed of 15 members appointed by Gov. Nathan Deal. Connell begins her second term immediately.

The Georgia Commission on Child Support was created to study and collect information and data relating to child support awards, and to work with the legislature related to Georgia Child Support Statue. Members of the commission are responsible for conducting thorough investigations on child support guidelines, economic conditions, and all matters related to Georgia family life. Throughout their terms, members of the commission provide training on child support to judges, attorneys and the public.

“I’m extremely honored to be reappointed to this position by Gov. Deal,” Connell said. “The work we have done, and the work that we have left to do, will greatly benefit Georgia’s children. It has been my privilege to contribute my perspective as a family lawyer to the commission and I look forward to my continued service.”

Connell serves clients facing a variety of family law matters, including divorce, pre- and post-nuptial agreements, custody and post-divorce matters. She holds leadership roles with the Charles Longstreet Weltner Family Law Inn of Court and is regularly asked to speak on child support and other family law issues.

Connell earned her undergraduate and master’s degrees from Auburn University, and her law degree from Mercer University.
