Gas South donates $1,000 to Cobb school Money to be used for bilingual technology

(Atlanta – September 10, 2012) – Gas South is helping bilingual students and families excel at Norton Park Elementary School in Smyrna thanks to a $1,000 donation.
Gas South, Georgia’s fastest growing natural gas provider since 2008, presented the donation to Norton Park Principal Doug Daugherty Monday at the Cobb Schools Foundation’s Cobb Homecoming Classic golf tournament at Brookstone Country Club.
The donation will be used to purchase translation technology to help facilitate communication between bilingual parents and school staff at PTA meetings. It also will be used to add a bilingual electronic marquis in front of the school.

Since 2009, Gas South has donated $12,500 to Norton Park Elementary through its Partners in Education Program. Gas South also has similar partnerships with Heritage Academy and Coan Middle School in Atlanta.
“As Georgia’s hometown natural gas marketer, we feel it is essential to give back to the communities we live and work in,” Gas South CEO Kevin Greiner said.
