Get Involved with Community Theatre
As Epidemic Theatre makes progress with our first show utilizing the cities facilities, we want to stand up and encourage anyone in the community with interest in the arts to come out and participate.

The proof is in the pudding that the arts improve our culture and provide an oasis from the sometimes hectic life that's out there. As Epidemic Theatre makes progress with our first show utilizing the cities facilities, we want to stand up and encourage anyone in the community with interest in the arts to come out and participate. Community theatre can only be as strong as the people who support it.
We do know that arts improve our cognitive abilities, provide a natural way to clear our minds, improve brain function, and build relationships with new people. Who wouldn't want to be a part of that?
"Big Shows, Small Box" is our first foray into providing arts outreach to Smyrna. It's a locally written show and is a comedy which poses the question - "What happens when you try to do a big budget show without one? What happens when you try to combine 35 of them?" I'm told it will be hilarious and I'll be the first in line to get tickets.

Here's your chance to get involved. We're looking for a wide range of people. If you want to be a part of the cast, we're hosting auditions at the community center July 16 and July 17. You can find out more on the patch event listing:

Are you a behind the scenes person? We're looking for people who are administrative and technical in nature to do things from coordinate cast meetings to building our set, handling costumes, ushering, selling concessions and more. If that's more your cup of tea, we have a sign up form for that. It requires a little time committment, but not much else.
I'm personally looking forward to meeting the arts enthusiasts in our community very soon.
