Campbell Seniors Eligible for National Achievement Scholarship Program
The 23 seniors will join 1,600 other gifted African-American students vying for 800 scholarships.

Almost two dozen members of Cobb County's Class of 2014, including four Campbell Spartans, were named national semifinalists for the 2014 National Achievement Scholarship Program.
The 23 semifinalists, which were announced by the Cobb County School District on Thursday, join 1,600 fellow students across the country in the competition for 800 scholarships which recognize academically prominent African-Americans.
In order to be considered for the scholarship, students must have expressed interest in the program when they took their PSATs during their junior year. The semifinalists must now provide a scholarship application, be recommended by a school official, and earn a high SAT score.
1,300 of the 1,600 semifinalists will become finalists, and 800 finalists will be awarded scholarships in January, 2014.
