Champs today, Memories forever
Smyrna Little League holds closing ceremonies under the light of warm sunshine and baseball good times.
There was plenty of championship fun and all-star smiles Saturday afternoon at Brinkley Park, where the Smyrna Little League held Closing and Fun Day festivities.
The Minor II championship game was played with the Marlins taking down the Dodgers for the title. In the Minor I playoffs, the top-seeded Nationals, along with Braves, Red Sox and Rangers advanced to Tuesday’s semifinals in pursuit of Thursday’s championship contest.
In addition to T-ball and Pee Wee games, SLL also conducted its closing ceremonies where trophies were handed out to all participants and sponsors were recognized.

The Minor II All-Stars were also named as Brinkley Park is set to play host to a pair of All-Star tournaments next month. June 4 will be the start of the tournament for 7- and 8-year-olds, while the 9-year-old all-stars will begin play on June 11.
Congratulations on a great season from Smyrna Patch to all the SLL players, coaches, sponsors and parents and good luck in the postseason!
