Cobb Chamber Wants You

Opportunities abound for business and community leaders alike.

The offers business and community leaders opportunities to explore business solutions and even other careers with some of its special programs like its CEO Roundtable, Honorary Commanders Association and Teach for a Day program.

CCC is currently accepting application for its CEO Roundtable program, which groups interested business owners with other business associates so they can confidentially discuss solutions for mutual business obstacles. Roundtable members are selected through an application process and placed with other business owners facing similar challenges for this yearlong program. Applications are due Wednesday, Aug. 17. CCC is also accepting applications for its Honorary Commanders Association class of 2012. This program is a co-operative effort between the CCC and Gen. Lucius D. Clay, National Guard Center, Dobbins Air Reserve Base, Navy and Marine Corps that pairs business owners with military commanders so that they may learn about local military activities and their impact on the economy. Honorary Commanders take tours of military bases and out-of-town trips as part of the program.

Business owners and entrepreneurs who think they missed their calling can participate in CCC’s Teach for a Day program. This program pairs area business leaders with some of Cobb County and Marietta City schools best teachers for a full day in their classrooms. The deadline to apply for this program is Friday, Sept. 9. "Teachers" report to their assigned classrooms Thursday, Sept. 29, when the bell rings.
