Cobb County Coronavirus Drive-Thru Testing Site Expands Criteria

The drive-thru testing site at Jim Miller Park has expanded its testing criteria in order to help better serve the residents of Cobb County.

COBB COUNTY, GA – The drive-thru testing site at Jim Miller Park has expanded its testing criteria in order to help better serve the residents of Cobb County and help stop the spread of the new coronavirus. The site is not open to the public and is by appointment only.

The expand criteria applies to people with symptoms who fall into the following categories:

  • Health care workers, first responders and other essential workers;
  • People who live in long-term care or group residential facilities;
  • People who are 65 or older;
  • Patients with underlying medical conditions;
  • Household members or caregivers of the above groups; and
  • People who have had close contact with a known COVID-19 case.

People who do not have symptoms will also be tested, as capacity allows, if they are health care workers, first responders or essential workers; or residents of a long-term care facility or group residential setting currently experience a COVID-19 outbreak.

Testing is free, according to the announcement on the Cobb County government website.
