Cobb County Coronavirus Update: 102 New Cases
There are 102 additional cases of the new coronavirus in Cobb County as of Friday morning, a jump from the 970 confirmed cases on Thursday.
COBB COUNTY, GA – There are 102 additional cases of the new coronavirus in Cobb County as of Friday afternoon, a jump from the 970 confirmed cases reported on Thursday morning. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the county to 1072.
There were six additional coronavirus-related deaths since Thursday morning, bringing the total virus-related deaths in the county to 51 as of Friday morning, according to the Georgia Department of Public Health.
In Cobb County, these numbers mean there are more than 131 positive cases of the coronavirus for every 100,000 people.

Here's the breakdown of deaths in Fulton County by age:
- 20-29: 1 death
- 30-39: 3 deaths
- 50-59: 5 deaths
- 60-69: 8 deaths
- 70+: 34 deaths

SCHOOLS
Governor Brian Kemp has announced that all K-12 schools in Georgia will remain closed for in-person instruction for the remainder of this school year.
For the rest of the 2019-2020 school year, digital learning will occur on a Monday through Thursday schedule. Each Friday will be an opportunity for students to independently review their progress from the previous week and to catch-up on assignments as needed. No new work or assignments will be presented to students on Fridays.
