Cobb Murder Suspect Threatened Victim's Life: Police
David Junior Reid allegedly said "I'm about to take your life" before fatally shooting Latasha Bell on Thursday evening.

A Cobb County man accused of killing his girlfriend allegedly threatened her moments before pulling the trigger, police say.
According to the Marietta Daily Journal, David Junior Reid and Latasha Bell got into a confrontation at the Marquis Place apartments off of Franklin Road in Marietta on Thursday night. Reid tried to strangle Bell, but she escaped from his grasp and got a knife to defend herself.
Reid then allegedly said, ”I’m about to take your life,” before shooting Bell once in the chest with a 9mm handgun. Bell was taken to WellStar Kennestone Hospital, where she later died.

The MDJ reports that Bell’s sister witnessed the incident, and fled from the apartment when Reid threatened her life as well.
Cobb County jail records show that Reid was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated assault, murder, possession of less than one ounce of marijuana, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. He is being held without bond.
