UPDATE: Cobb Police Investigate Fatal Motel Shooting
Police say the victim died at the scene, while two suspects have been arrested and charged with his murder.

Cobb County police are likely to charge a man taken into custody following a shooting which left a man dead in the breezeway of an East Cobb hotel Wednesday night.
Sgt. Dana Pierce tells Patch that units were dispatched to the Masters Inn at 2682 Windy Hill Road at 10:48 p.m. in reference to a person down call. Officers found a man shot multiple times in a breezeway on the second story of the hotel, Pierce said. The victim, identified as 32 year old Demetrius Towns of Atlanta, was pronounced dead on the scene.
Pierce says officers pursued one man who ran from them and eventually arrested one person in connection with the killing. Police have identified the suspect as 23 year old Fredrick Hodge of Marietta; he has been charged with felony murder, aggravated assault and possession of firearm by a convicted felon.

K9 units and Georgia State Patrol helicopters were dispatched to help find a second person who may be a suspect in the killing, but Pierce said that these efforts were not successful.
Police said Thursday afternoon that the second person was identified as 26 year old Joseph Cory McCoy of Marietta, and said that he too would be charged with felony murder, aggravated assault and possession of firearm by a convicted felon. Both McCoy and Hodge are being held at the Cobb County Jail without bond.
