Cobb Police Make Arrests in Sock Throwing Incidents
Two juveniles have been charged with committing terroristic acts for throwing socks filled with sand at passing cars.

Cobb County police have made a pair of arrests which they hope will stop the recent rash of cars being struck and damaged by socks filled with sand.
According to Officer Mike Bowman, two juvenile males were arrested and charged with terroristic acts for their suspected involvement in the incidents. The two youngsters were transported to the Marietta Regional Youth Detention Center.
Bowman added that the term ”sock bomb” was a misnomer, as “a bomb indicates an incendiary device that explodes on impact.” Bowman said the two juvenile suspects used a black Nike sock filled with sand, and no explosives were involved in any way.
