Collision Temporarily Closes Concord Road Covered Bridge

Cobb County police were called out to the Concord Road covered bridge after a box truck collided with the structure on Monday morning.

Police spokesman Dana Pierce told Patch that the truck hit the bridge at 8:41 a.m. The collision closed the bridge for over two hours, but authorities determined by 11 a.m. that the collision had not done any structural damage to the bridge and it could continue to carry vehicle traffic.

Nobody was injured as a result of the incident, Pierce said.
