Community and Southern Bank to Participate in 62nd Annual Military Appreciation Luncheon

Cobb Chamber's Atlanta Regional Military Affairs Council (ARMAC) will sponsor the 62nd Annual Military Appreciation Luncheon

Georgia is home to more than 752,882 veterans with nearly 50,000 in Cobb county alone. Although there is a large number of veterans living in Georgia, it is often forgotten to pay tribute to our uniformed men and women who serve and make great sacrifices for our nation. Community and Southern Bank (CSB) is a proud four-star sponsor of the Dobbins Air Force Base and wish to communicate their gratitude to military men and women at the Military Appreciation Luncheon.

On Monday, Nov. 17, 2014, Cobb Chamber’s Atlanta Regional Military Affairs Council (ARMAC) will sponsor the 62nd Annual Military Appreciation Luncheon. Air Force Chief Master Sergeant, Jim Cody will speak and celebrate Cobb’s military community. The presentation of the 2014 USO Patriot of the Year Award will also be presented.

“CSB believes that honoring our country’s heroes is one of our greatest responsibilities,” says Mark Abernathy, CSB President, who will also speak at the lunch. “The Military Appreciation Luncheon is an incredible event that not only recognizes those in uniform, but also supports the preservation of Dobbin Air Force Base, which is a crucial training center for our Army, Navy and Marine Corps Reserve units. The CSB family would like to extend our most sincere gratitude to those who serve our great nation.”

“We are so proud of our military, both active duty and retired, for their service to our country,” says David Connell, Cobb Chamber president & CEO, “These brave men and women have committed their lives to protect each and every one of us. We owe them a debt of gratitude that is impossible to measure. Community and Southern Bank’s support for our military is second to none in our region. This commitment is not only a strong commitment to the local communities which they serve and our nation, but a commitment to their overall values as a corporation.”
