Community and Southern Bank (CSB) announced today the appointment of Lawrence "Larry" DesPres as its new Director of Information Technolog

Community and Southern Bank (CSB) announced today the appointment of Lawrence “Larry” DesPres as its new Director of Information Technology. In his new role at CSB, DesPrés will strategically oversee technology and operations systems to ensure a positive and secure customer experience.

“With Larry now part of our team and in today’s age of modern technology, we can continue moving toward our goal of offering customers the most innovative products and services while providing them peace of mind,” says Mark Abernathy, CSB President. “His extensive background in all facets of network management will be instrumental to our future growth and success.”

DesPres joins the CSB team with more than 25 years of experience in Information Technology and banking. His ability to quickly evaluate and implement new technologies will be paramount to the bank’s long-term success. He will be responsible for ensuring that CSB’s core infrastructure and network systems are performing at peak levels.

DesPres has served as the Chief Information Officer with The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul, Lonestar National Bank in Texas and City National Bank in Florida, IT Director for United Community Banks in Georgia, and held System Engineering positions with Unisys Corporation and the Eastman Kodak Company. DesPres earned his degree in Industrial Electronics from Northern Michigan University and served our country in the USAF Strategic Air Command.
