Basking in community approval and enthusiasm, JE Dunn Construction officially opened its new East Region headquarters in metro Atlanta’s Cobb County with a festive ribbon cutting ceremony.

After years of leasing space in the Sandy Springs community of Fulton County, JE Dunn purchased and self-performed extensive renovation of a two-story, 34,000-square-foot building in Cobb, providing a progressive work environment for its employees and heightened visibility for the company.

“We’re glad to have your brand here,” said David Connell, President and CEO of the Cobb County Chamber of Commerce, at the Grand Opening. Citing the area’s “hyper growth mode,” Connell declared, ”Y’all have come to Cobb County at the right time.”

The remodeled building sported a blue, long tail bow for the occasion. It flashed its expressway visibility and showcased JE Dunn’s leadership in workplace design and performance—from adjustable workstations and solar panels that provide 18% of the facility’s energy, to interactive smart boards and an electric car named Watts. With the renovation, the building can accommodate a third-floor expansion. Company employees were instrumental in re-imagining the ‘70s-era structure to complement the office’s work hard-play hard culture. Among amenities: workout gym, putting green, game room and a specially designed stainless steel slide from Germany connecting the building’s second and first floors.

Cobb business and civic leaders were well represented as Dan Kaufman, JE Dunn East Region President, applauded the area’s strategic investments in transportation, recreation and beautification projects— particularly in the vibrant Cumberland area, were JE Dunn relocated. “We congratulate you for what you have done to make this area especially appealing,” Kaufman said.

JE Dunn Executive Vice President Mike Bartlett, a Cobb County resident, echoed Kaufman’s pledge of a purposeful community partnership—a JE Dunn hallmark. “Count on our people and our company to continue doing our part,” Bartlett said.

Cobb County Commission Chairman Tim Lee complimented, “We are so grateful that you are holistic in your approach to this community—not only making your business work, but making this community work.”

JE Dunn’s East Region includes offices in Atlanta, Charlotte, Nashville and Savannah.
