Cow Appreciation Day to be Moo-rific!

Smyrna Chick-fil-A to give away free combo meals to customers who dress from "head to hoof" in a cow costume on Friday.

Smyrna-Vinings Patch has caught bovine fever as local businesses have gone crazy for Cow Appreciation Day.

Cow Appreciation Day is generally celebrated on July 15, although there is a tad disparity between some local businesses as to when to honor their favorite farm animal.

Tomorrow, at 3100 South Cobb Drive will give away free combo meals to customers who dress from “head to hoof” in a cow costume. Customers who are too chicken to wear a full costume can still participate. Partial costumes like a cow hat or cow-print will be rewarded with a free entrée.

A small herd of Chick-fil-A cows is expected to be on South Cobb Drive corralling costumers into the restaurant.

Cowlicks Yogurt & Floats in Vinings is offering $2 off all its yogurts and floats all day on Friday, July 15, for customers who come dressed like cows or wear cow-print.

Josh Solomon, Cowlick’s manager, added that Bella the cow will be “running around, waving people in, being around the store and just having a great time.”
