Crochet, Knitting and Lacemaking Oh My!
Handcraft guru Shirley Paden to appear at new Cobb Parkway store, Yarning For Ewe.

We’re suckers for a witty turn of phrase or clever pun here at Patch, so how could we resist the grand opening of the smartly-named store Yarning For Ewe? Beginning at 6 p.m. Friday at the store located at 3220 Cobb Parkway, handcraft aficionados will flock to this mecca of all things crochet, knitting, and lacemaking.
Local knitting queen Betty Shah opens her new shop with a grand opening featuring a preview of the goods, delicious snacks, beverages, and an internationally-known knitting celebrity who will speak and sign her book at 7 p.m. Listed as a member of “Who’s Who in North American Knitting,” handcraft guru Shirley Paden designs an exclusive knitwear line, publishes articles and patterns, and has been featured on HGTV.
On Saturday, Paden will teach her Lace Master Class from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. $100 buys you lunch and everything you need to know about lace knitting. A storewide savings of 20 percent off will last all weekend, so stock up! To attend the grand opening, please RSVP at 678-909-4963 or at yarningforewe@gmail.com
