Dignity of Aging Act Passes Committee

Includes Alzheimer's Young Onset Act

Last week the House Education and Labor Committee passed their version of the reauthorization act for Older Americans Act, H.R.4334 Dignity of Aging Act. This would reauthorize the Older Americans Act through 2024. The committee included key provisions of the Young Onset Act (H.R.1903) as well as provisions of The RAISE Family Caregivers Act and Supporting Americans Caregivers Act. These related Bills were also supported by the Alzheimer's Association and it's sister advocacy organization Alzheimer's Impact Movement (AIM).

This is a great first step forward in the support of Alzheimer's and related dementias patients and their family caregivers.
H.R. 4334 Dignity of Aging Act now goes to the House Floor for final vote, hopefully before the session ends.
As a Bipartisan Bill we are hopeful of its passage. To insure the passing, join me in asking your members of Congress to support H.R. 4334 as I am asking Congressman David Scott of Georgia District 13 to continue his valued support by vote for this Bill.
