Disabled Veteran, Family Meeting Smyrna Community Next Week
Operation: Soldier At Ease is building a mortgage-free home for wounded warrior SPC Chuck Fuller and his family.

From Operation: Soldier At Ease
Operation: Soldier At Ease is building a mortgage free home for an American hero, and is inviting the community to meet SPC Chuck Fuller and his wife Inez as they come to Smyrna for the first time. The Galleria Hyatt Hotel has donated a suite for three nights for the Fullers to use during their stay. The Fullers will be meeting the community and learning more about the good people who have supported their family in honor of the sacrifices they have made for our freedom. They will arrive Monday - April 20 and leave on Thursday, April 23, 2015. We really want YOU there so that you can shake hands with the Fullers and welcome them to Georgia. We are working hard to finish their new home and have been able to make great strides in it’s completion because of people like you. We hope to present them with the keys to their house in about six weeks. Please join us to show the Fullers that they are not alone in their journey and help make them know that they are in the best and most generous community in America. I look forward to seeing you there. Please feel free to bring a friend - we will have plenty of food and fun!

I want to invite all of Smyrna to this party - please bring your family and friends - there will be plenty of food for everyone and a special presentation of money to the OSAE fund by the King Springs Elementary Beta Club kids. Northwest Exterminating is providing hamburgers, hotdogs, chicken, and all of the fixings. Shane’s BBQ is providing peach cobbler, the Bountiful Basket is providing more deserts and Chick Fil A Smyrna is providing tea and lemonade. They are preparing for a crowd! Operation: Soldier At Ease has had some very generous donations for the build since our last update. Northwest Exterminating has offered to provide termite protection for the house and are working with us to find donors for other materials and services that we need. They are doing this through their community “Good Deeds” program. Kim Peterson from the Kimmer Show 640 talk show has been talking about.
Operation: Soldier At Ease regularly and he has some of the best listeners in the world! As a result, the Delaney Hardware company is providing us with every piece of hardware in the house to hang doors, open doors, secure handles for help getting in and out of the shower, as well as the mailbox, etc! Bob Rowley from Restore-It Flooring has agreed to donate flooring and a Kimmer listener has agreed to put the flooring in. Myer Electric donated all of the electrical supplies to wire the house and contractor Brad Hawkins supplied the labor. We got all of the plumbing supplies donated through Roger Smeltzer at Ferguson Plumbing Supply and Brent Snider installed everything. Eddie Johnson and his staff from Extreme Mechanical installed the heating and air system after he got all of the supplies donated for that. Adam Sadler with Roofing Supply of Atlanta got all of the house wrap, siding and gutters for the house. We really need an installer for the siding ASAP! Lastly, the insulation has been provided for the house (we are putting the insulation in Saturday!) I know that I have overlooked someone, but we will make sure everyone is acknowledged in a future update!

We still need sheetrock! We need 193 pieces of 8 ft. sheetrock. If someone would like to donate they can talk to us for specific thicknesses. We need kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanities if you know someone who specializes in that area or the money that buys it! Also, Operation: Soldier At Ease always welcomes cash donations or Home Depot cards. Home Depot has helped us out with money and discounts and have been a great partner so far!
For anyone who wants to donate to Operation: Soldier At Ease, visit our website www.operationsoldieratease.org or contact us at 770-435-5009.
