Driver Arrested In Cobb Hit-And-Run That Injured Pedestrian
A man is facing multiple charges, including hit-and-run, after police say a crash seriously injured a pedestrian in Cobb County.
SMYRNA, GA — A 33-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a hit-and-run that injured a pedestrian at South Cobb Drive and Waldrep Circle, Cobb County Police said Tuesday.
The serious crash happened around 7:15 p.m., Nov. 15, 2025, and injured a 20-year-old Marietta man, police said.
Investigators arrested Smyrna resident Armando Cruz Sanchez around 8:15 a.m. Tuesday in connection with the crash.

Sanchez was identified as the driver of a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado that hit the man, who was crossing the road outside of a marked crosswalk, police said.

After being hit, police said the man suffered serious injuries and was taken to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital.
The Silverado continued northbound and fled the scene after the crash, police said. At the time of the crash, they said they believed the Silverado sustained front-end damage, specifically in its grille.
Sanchez was arrested on charges of hit and run, driving without a valid license and tampering with evidence, police said. He was booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention Center, police said.
