Accused Drunk Driver In Death Of Smyrna Officer Released On Bond
A man accused in the April death of a Smyrna officer was released on $100K bond.
SMYRNA, GA — The man accused of drunk driving and killing a Smyrna police officer in April was out on $100,000 bond Monday, Cobb County jail records show.
The driver, Robert Lorenzo Cox, was charged with two felonies: homicide by vehicle in the first degree and driving under the influence, reported the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Officer Christopher Ewing, 34, died from his injuries.

Cox was released Saturday and was fitted with an ankle monitor, according to jail records.
