FBI Looking for Cumberland-Area Bank Robbery Suspect
The bank victimized by the November incident in Smyrna is also offering a cash reward to hasten the capture of the suspect.

The FBI is asking for citizens’ help to identify a man they say robbed a bank in the Cumberland area in late November, and the victimized financial institution is offering a reward as well.
According to the FBI, the man pictured above walked into the Wells Fargo at 3351 Riverwood Parkway on Nov. 29 armed with a handgun and announced that the bank was being robbed.

The robber gave tellers two bags and ordered them to fill the bags with money. He then escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene in a silver 2008 or 2009 Honda Accord, the FBI said.
The suspect is described as a black male who stands 5’10” to 6’ tall with a slim build, around 30 to 40 years old, and with a thick Caribbean accent. He was last seen wearing a dark pea coat or trench coat, a dark colored skull cap, a black balaclava, and light blue and black gloves. The FBI suspects the man was carrying a dark Glock pistol in the robbery.

Anyone with information regarding the identity of the suspect should call the FBI’s Atlanta Field Office at (404) 679-9000. Wells Fargo is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to the arrest of the suspect.
