Foul Play Suspected After Man Found Dead In Closed Vinings Store

A maintenance worker was checking for a possible water leak when they found the man's body in Cobb County, police say.

VININGS, GA — Foul play is suspected after a maintenance worker on Thursday found a man dead in a vacant Cobb County building that once housed a grocery store, police said Friday.

Officers responded around 10 a.m. to the building in the 3300 block of Cobb Parkway Southeast, Cobb County Police said.

The building was once home to a grocery store that closed in 2024, police said.

The Cobb County Medical Examiner's Office arrived and pronounced the man dead, police said.
