Networking opportunities are abound in the Smyrna-Vinings Patch over the course of the next several days.
Gary Hill Network, a business organization comprised of local entrepreneurs, is holding its monthly networking luncheon Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Art a la Carte. Gary Hill called the luncheon a great opportunity for business owners to gain exposure in the community. Lunch will be catered and costs $10. To reserve a seat call Hill at 770-438-6961.
The Smyrna Business Association is holding a networking event of its own later Thursday evening. “Alive After Five” is SBA’s monthly after hours networking event and Cobb News & Views and sponsor this month’s event. “Alive After Five” features appetizers, a cash bar and door prizes as well as offering business owners a chance to make friends in the community.

This month’s event begins at 5:30 p.m. Admission is free, but a $5 donation is appreciated. Donations benefit , a program that links volunteers and law enforcement officials who provide needy families with gifts during the holidays.
Entrepreneurs interested in promoting their business through blogging should check out Blogging for Business 2: The Setup Workshop, Tuesday, July 26, from 10 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. The conference is hosted by InMotion Real Estate Institute Smyrna, 5020 Highlands Parkway, and will cover topics like how to set up a blog, how to select the best publishing tools, how to network and link yourself to others and how to make money blogging.
