Hedgepeth, Heredia & Rieder Attorneys Honored with Legal Awards
Partners from the family were named in 2017 Super Lawyers and Rising Stars lists, Georgia Trend's 2016 Legal Elite

Jon Hedgepeth, Hannibal Heredia, and Rebecca Crumrine Rieder, the founding partners of Hedgepeth, Heredia & Rieder, and attorneys J. Ashley Sawyer and Jessica Reece Fagan have all recently been recognized by their legal peers for excellence in the area of family law.
Atlanta Magazine’s Super Lawyers
Founding partners Jon Hedgepeth, Hannibal Heredia and Rebecca Crumrine Rieder were all included on Atlanta magazine’s Georgia Super Lawyers 2017 list. The firm’s attorneys also received other honors:
- Rebecca Crumrine Rieder and Hannibal Heredia were also listed as two of the “Top 100” attorneys in Georgia (this is the third year in a row for Rieder, who is one of only 20 women on the list).
- Crumrine Rieder was also named one of the “Top 50 Women” lawyers in Georgia for the seventh consecutive year.
- Attorneys Ashley Sawyer and Jessica Reece Fagan were recognized on the magazine’s “Rising Star” list. Attorneys 40 years old or younger or with less than ten years in practice are eligible for the recognition. Fewer than 2.5 percent of attorneys in Georgia are named to Rising Star. This is Sawyer’s fourth year on the list.
Super Lawyers, a Thomson Reuters business, is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The annual selections are made using a patented multiphase process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent research evaluation of candidates and peer reviews by practice area. The result is a credible, comprehensive and diverse listing of exceptional attorneys.
Each year, no more than five percent of the lawyers in the state are selected by the research team at Super Lawyers to receive this honor. The listing appears in the March 2017 issue of Atlanta magazine.

Georgia Trend Magazine’s 14th Annual “Legal Elite”
Hannibal Heredia and Rebecca Crumrine Rieder have been included in Georgia Trend’s 13th Annual “Legal Elite” listing.
The Georgia Trend Legal Elite listing allows attorneys to recognize their peers for excellence and is open to lawyers throughout Georgia in fourteen practice areas. Attorneys are not allowed to vote for themselves, and may only vote for members of their own firm if they cast an equal or greater number of votes outside their firms. The listings are determined solely by lawyers’ votes.
