HGTV Design Show Is Smyrna Bound

Who wants to be on TV? Better yet, who wants a stylish home makeover from a top designer on TV?

"Design Wars," a new HGTV show that will feature three top designers determined to make homeowner’s design dreams come true, is casting in the metro Atlanta area and producers have their eye on the Jonquil City.

“We look for a place that is community oriented and family-centric,'' said the show's Co-Executive Producer Dave Baines. "Once we spoke with the City of Smyrna, we knew it was the right fit.''

The premise will have the three designers going all out to deliver a visionary interior design that represents the homeowner and resolves their decorating dilemma.

“We think it’s exciting that they’ve found Smyrna and they’re interested in casting people from here,’’ said Smyrna Community Relations Director Jennifer Bennett.
